CONFIGURATION
OF NEUTRA-MILL WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS
Earth Systems' Water Treatment systems are scaled to your requirements
from off-the-shelf systems to more sophisticated custom-built, remotely-monitored
integrated treatment systems. These units can be easily coupled
with a purpose designed reagent storage and delivery systems. We
develop the solution to satisfy your treatment needs.
OFF-THE-SHELF SYSTEMS
Off-the-shelf Water Treatment Systems are portable, light-weight systems
that are easily transported between sites for short term once-off
and/or long term routine treatment applications. Where appropriate,
such systems are based on our patented Neutra-Mill Technology. They
can also be coupled to work with or supplement existing treatment
plants and integrated with existing or new PLC based or SCADA electronic
control systems. These systems typically have reagent outputs of up
to 5 tonne/hr.
The off-the-shelf systems include land based or water based models
allowing significant flexibility in providing cost effective water
treatment solutions. Some examples of "off-the-shelf"
systems include:

Turbidity Mill - designed to efficiently
and rapidly remove turbidity and suspended solids, can also
dispense other reagents (biological media, adsorptive clays)
throughout the upper layer of a water body. Used at minesites
and for potable water. |

HALT System - (under development) - designed to utilise
low-cost limestone aggregate for the treatment of acidified
drainage (eg. replacing anoxic limestone drains), suitable in
areas affected by acid sulphate soils and acid rain. |

CUSTOM-BUILT INTEGRATED TREATMENT SYSTEM
Many water treatment requirements are typically application-specific.
Earth Systems can design and construct an integrated treatment system
to suit your specific site requirements. An integrated treatment
system generally consists of three main components:
Reagent
storage and delivery - options range from 1 tonne bulker bag dispensing
systems with portable augers to 20 tonne storage silos with auger
or belt feed systems.
Chemical
mixing and dispensing - component designed for your output and reagent
requirements.
Control
and monitoring - options from manual on/off to radio telemetry SCADA
control systems.
We develop your actual site treatment requirements onsite with
you. This ensures that the treatment plant is integrated with your
site operations and accounts for the chemistry of your water.
Applications
Acid neutralisation, pH control, toxic metal reduction, turbidity
and suspended solid reduction, dispensing biological or adsorptive
media, nutrient control, blue green algae management, odour control

Model IS-5 - Land based
General Description
The IS-5 is an integrated treatment plant that combines a reagent
storage and delivery system (15TM5/5) with an off-the-shelf treatment
system (0710/1717). An interlocked, automated control system seamlessly
links these two units so that maximum control is given to the operator.
The IS-5 facilitates the automated mixing of dry reagent to produce
a concentrated solution or slurry, which can be dispensed directly
into the water body or stream requiring treatment. This supplants
the approach of conventional systems which pump the entire water
body requiring treatment through the treatment plant.
The IS-5 is designed to be easily portable and only requires minimal
site preparation prior to installation. As the conditions change
at a site the IS-5 can be easily relocated to accommodate changing
site demands.
| |
 |
| The IS-5 provides a simple method for conducting
routine and unmanned treatment of surface waters at mine sites.
|
| |
Primary Applications
Acid neutralisation, pH correction, toxic metal reduction, lowering
total dissolved solids, turbidity and suspended solid reduction.
Secondary Applications
Colour removal, control of nutrients, dispensing biological or adsorptive
media.
